Millinocket – Muriel Ardyce Chasse`, 100, died Saturday, October 29, 2016 at a Millinocket health care facility. She was born April 3, 1916 in Marysville, New Brunswick Canada, the daughter of Jerry and Alice (Sheppard) Gregory. During World War II, she worked in the Portland Shipyard as a welder. Muriel was a member of the Emblem Club for many years. In her spare time, she loved to read, cook, crochet, knit and golf. Muriel is survived by her daughter, Gertrude Leet of Millinocket, eight grandchildren, Eugene Joseph Labelle, Jr. and his companion Gerri Wyman, Pam Jones and her husband David, Mike Labelle and his wife Ruth, Sidney Labelle and his wife Diane, William Labelle and his wife Elaine, Terry Labelle, Jeffrey Labelle, and Sandy Labelle and her husband Jeffrey Budden; twenty one great grandchildren; and twenty nine great great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Daniel Chasse`, with whom she shared 67 years, a son, William Daniel Chasse`, two brothers, Milton Gregory and Melvin Gregory, and two great great grandchildren. Services will be private. Arrangements are by Lamson Funeral Home, Millinocket.
